THE GRINDING OF WOOD WASTE, GLASS, ASPHALT ETC. FOR SUBSEQUENT RE-UTILIZATION.

Curtis Enterprises uses a Rex Works Maxi Grinder to grind all wood waste, tree trimmings, construction or demolition lumber for subsequent use in a composting operation. Wood waste provides the carbon component and acts as a bulking agent in making compost.

The Maxi-Grinder can also grind glass and asphalt for subsequent reuse. Municipal solid waste (MSW) or garbage can be ground to reduce volume. Old landfills can also be mined and ground to acquire more "free air space".

The Rex Works Maxi-Grinder supports sustainable development principles by and for the following reasons;

  1. Compost can be used on your lawns and gardens as a natural organic source of nutrients and is an environmentally responsible alternative to burning or landfilling our wood waste.
  2. Grinding glass for subsequent aggregate use saves on using up valuable landfill space (especially if the glass is not ground) and is an environmentally responsible alternative to using a non - renewable resource such as gravel or aggregate for certain construction projects.
  3. Grinding asphalt and using it as a dust abatement aggregate on municipal gravel roads is an alternative to landfilling old asphalt, thereby saving on valuable landfill space.
  4. Dust control is a form of preventing air pollution.
  5. Landfill mining is an economical means of acquiring "free air space".
